A FOCUSED END TO A HARD MONTH
October was supposed to be a push hard month. It started extremely slow in regards of progress on my projects. However that all turned around in late October where I started pushing hard.
Playing Cards
This months playing card design was supposed to be of notable furniture items. Those are taking longer then expected to design so I am delaying them until November. For them I am getting help from Gizem with the illustrations.
In order to stick with the goal of releasing a deck of playing cards each month I compiled 54 photographs taken by my grandfather of Icelandic nature and arranged them on cards.
The Rummy cards from last month are available on pre order as I am finalising some minor changes. View them on the Rummy Cards Store Page.
App Work
This months app work has been put on the back burner. It is a minor increase from the previous month.
Anello is not factored into this section which is getting most of my time regarding app work.
I did some work on the TV Tracker port to a native mobile app by starting to port the search. The TV Tracker is currently still working on getting all the shows. The show count is up to 23.089 and the year 1992.
Speaking of searches a preliminary search has been added to FurnitureDB. The visitors numbers have decreased from September but China overtook the United States in amount of visitors.
I have made minor progress with learning FlutterFlow for my port of the Rummy Tracker. I have found out how to write and display data as well as user authentication. Styling is the next thing I am learning.
I managed to get it built and in TestFlight for internal testing.

Bernburg.is
This website has received some love and care this month.
Most notably with updating the front page and the projects there, as well as fixing font issues on the front page.
I also set up a page where people can purchase my cards.
The Rummy Cards from last month have been added as a project as well as Sólin Skín being archived.
With 9 new projects planned for release I have assembled a list of projects that are next to be archived, those being: Alkimia, Renovation, NFVI TIVI, Sopi, and Grímsey Animation.
With so many projects scheduled for archival I want to make them still accessible in some way.
Anello
Steady progress has been made. Further development on the branding and finally being able to deploy the app into Test Flight.
From there we can quickly iterate and work on the app. Currently you can create a listing with a picture and title.
We are currently looking at and contacting payments processors to get that nailed down so we can start integrating payments.
In the last weekend of October we nailed down a timeline, with launch in May and other milestones inbetween.
The future is looking bright and we are both very excited for the future development.
Late October
October started out slow. No momentum and not doing things I wanted to do.
A lot of things had piled up on my todo list and most of my free time was spend relaxing and watching tv, which is not a bad thing but did not align with my goal of the month.
On the third week of October I decided to push hard that week completing a lot of things on my personal to do list as well as with work and school. Sort of a catch up week.
This gave me the freedom to spend the last week of October focusing on school work as there was a presentation due on the 30th. I tend to leave school things until last minute and take an all nighter but this gave me the freedom not to do it.
North Trail
My friends boyfriend is starting a clothing brand. I was asked to assist with graphic design, creating a logo in different variations for him to choose from.
In addition to the logo variations I created a graphic for the main line. It was a illustration of a mountain with northern lights. I had never tried anything even close to that so I tried my best but in the end the illustration did not turn out that good.
Cleaning Out My Closet
Me and Gizem decided to take part in a used clothes market to try to sell some of the clothes we have listed online.
We showed up at 10 in the morning to set up our booth and the market opened at noon. It started slow with sales picking up when the shade came.
Due to the low volume of sales we ended up making a small profit after having paid the rent and all the drinks we had during our stay there. Nonetheless we did make a profit and got rid of some clothes, but most importantly had a wonderful time.
The sold clothes now take less space at our places and some people are happy with their new clothes.
School
In the start of October we pitched our two prospective sites with Tanzi being selected as my site for my design research project.
On the 30th of October I turned in a presentation of a deeper distribution of that site as the scope had changed to a day facility.
We also were doing some exercise related to heterotopia which we presented with the distribution.
For my professional practice class I am creating my portfolio in a printed form, which is a fun experience.
I also printed out my business cards that I designed for that class.
Framer Creator
My free component has been receiving notable amount of views and installs while the paid ones are not being pushed as much. In spite of that I made my first sales! Two people bought my 3D rotating box and one person my product gallery!
I published a product gallery component this week that I developed for my store page.
I also have some components that I am making for my event template that is still under development.
I have started experimenting with a PDF viewer component but running into rendering issues.

What is up for November?
November is going to be a reset and refocus month.
I didn’t manage to push as hard in October as I planned. Next month I’m shifting my mindset. Instead of forcing momentum, November is about consistency, clarity, and getting things done without burning myself out.
My priorities are clear: school first, Anello second, and continuing to grow on Framer now that sales are starting to come in. I want to stay steady and make real progress on the things that actually matter, without pressure to do everything at once.
A calm, productive November where I stay committed to my goals and move forward with steady progress.
